Amazon.in today launched a new budget Android smartphone in India today under the 10.or brand. Dubbed 10.or D2, the smartphone succeeds the 10.or D that was launched in India in December last year. The new model comes with a more modern 18:9 aspect ratio display.
10.or D2: Price in India
The 10.or D2 will be available in two configurations – 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. While the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant is priced at Rs.6,999, the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs.7,999. It comes in two colors – Beyond Black and Glow Gold.

10.or D2: Availability, Launch Offers
The 10.or D2 will be going on sale for Prime members in a Prime early access sale on 27th of August at 12 PM. If you are not a Prime member, you will be able to purchase one in a sale on August 28th at 12 PM. Needless to say, you will only be able to purchase the 10.or D2 via Amazon.in.
Moving on to launch offers, customers holding Punjab National Bank or Indusland Bank credit and debit cards will be able to avail an instant discount of 10% on the 10.or D2. If you have an old smartphone that you would like to exchange, you can get an additional Rs.1,000 off. Some of the other offers on Amazon.in include No Cost EMI on all major credit cards and Bajaj Finserv EMI card as well as up to 95% off on eBooks up to a maximum of Rs.200 in the Kindle app. Reliance Jio subscribers purchasing the 10.or D will get Rs.2,200 instant cashback as part of the telco’s Football offer. Apart from these offers, Amazon Prime members will get free additional 1-year warranty on the entry-level smartphone.
10.or D2: Specifications, Features
10.or’s latest offering, the D2 comes with a 5.45-inch LTPS display with 720 x 1440 HD+ resolution, 400 nits peak brightness, and an 18:9 aspect ratio. In terms of build, the entry-level smartphone features a plastic body with metallic painting to give it a more premium look. The 10.or D2 runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz with an Adreno 308 GPU. Its predecessor, the 10.or D also runs on the same quad-core processor from Qualcomm. As we told you earlier, the 10.or D2 comes in two memory configurations. The base variant comes with 2GB of RAM coupled with 16GB of internal storage, while the more expensive version includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion up to 128GB.
At the rear is a 13MP Sony IMX258 primary camera with phase-detection autofocus, 5-element f/2.0 aperture lens, and a single-tone LED flash. The selfie camera is a 5MP unit with a 4-element f/2.0 aperture lens and an LED flash.
10.or D Review: An Insufferable Ordeal
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, USB OTG, FM radio, and 4G VoLTE. The smartphone is fueled by a 3200mAh capacity battery with 5V 1A charging and a claimed standby time of up to 20 days. 10.or suggests the smartphone can provide up to 12 hours of video playback and up to 10 hours of internet browsing over a Wi-Fi network. List of sensors onboard includes proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, LED charge indicator, and a notification indicator. Unfortunately, however, the new 10.or D does not include a fingerprint sensor and not does it support facial recognition. You do get IPX2 water protection, which might prove to be quite useful to some buyers. In terms of size, the 10.or D2 measures 147.7 x 70.5 x 8.6mm and weighs in at 144 grams. As for software, the smartphone runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box.
