1Password 7 Brings New UI, Hack Alerts, and More in a Refreshed Design to Android

Everyone’s favourite password manager, 1Password, has decided to make Android safe now that it has already updated Mac and Windows to 1Password 7. The new version is now available through Play Store for download.

The New 1Password

1Password 7 from AgileBits brings to Android a new refreshing UI. The ‘mini’ window got overhauled and is now capable of operating independently. Unlike last time, when only after opening the hamburger menu could you access your Settings, Tags, Categories, and Favorites, in the new UI they are all arranged prettily in the navigation bar at the bottom.

Inside the hamburger menu is a new vault launcher that lets you easily switch between your vaults in case you have more than 1. The collapsible high-contrast inky theme makes identifying items in different vaults easier. The notes within each item can now be scripted in rich text format from Markdown.

Inside the Categories tab, pressing and holding on multiple entries lets you sort them out between delete, copy, or mark as favourites, simultaneously. The content arrangement has also been updated with a great deal of thought. When clicking on a single entry you’ll find the most important information is now in a format that not only does it read better but it makes it more understandable.

The latest Strong Password Generator helps to make your own easy-to-remember passwords more secure. Watchtower is also part of 1Password 7 now. It alerts you if your password is weak or expiring soon, an online account of yours is compromised, and more.

With 1Password 7, managing multiple username and passwords will become even more convenient. Besides letting you create passwords for every web account the password manager has handy extensions on Safari, Mac, and iOS, making accessing passwords easier.

Besides all these, 1Password 7 can also upload docs from the Android device, has the auto-fill option but for Brave and DuckDuckGo browsers only, more frequent log-in get the top spot in the Categories tab, etc.

1Password has already made 1Password 7 available for free download from Google Play Store. In case it is not visible now, it should be coming up soon.
