Free Netflix Subscription: Offer Details

Under the offer, the subscribers of select postpaid and broadband plans can stream Netflix for free. The offer holds a validity of three months. The users eligible for this plan can sign up to Netflix via the My Airtel app and the Airtel TV app and activate their 3-months free subscription.

Post the expiration date, the Airtel users will be able to pay for the Netflix service using their Airtel home broadband postpaid plan bill. The telecom operator also said that existing Netflix subscribers would also be eligible for the offer. And those who are not eligible for the gift will be able to sign up to streaming service through Airtel’s apps and pay for their subscription using their Airtel bill. However, if you want to claim the offer, you can upgrade to the eligible plans and pay for the subscription using your Airtel bill.

Free Netflix Subscription: Airtel to Announce the Eligible Plans Later

The telco has confirmed that it will disclose the details of the eligible plans, both postpaid and broadband, in the coming weeks. Furthermore, Airtel and Netflix have also come together to promote each other through a dedicated Netflix content section in the Airtel TV app. Commenting on the new partnership, Gopal Vittal, MD & CEO (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel said,

“Partnerships are at the core of Airtel’s DNA and we are delighted to expand our strategic relationship with Netflix. Affordable high-speed data services and growing smart devices have created a massive opportunity, perhaps one of the biggest in the world, for the uptake of content – both local and global. We look forward to working closely with Netflix to leverage this huge potential and continue delighting customers with some amazing offerings.”

Airtel TV: Now with Over  375 Live TV Channels

With the latest Netflix partnership, the content portfolio on the Airtel TV app has strengthened even more. The video streaming app offers over 10,000 plus movie and shows along with 375 plus LIVE TV channels. With so many video streaming platforms out there, Airtel TV has managed to keep a massive user base with its continuously growing digital content. The service provider has collaborated with several other digital content giants in the past to reach where it is today. And, with this new Netflix partnership, it’s going even stronger.

The free Netflix service is available with select postpaid plans as well as broadband plans. This move comes as a counter to Jio GigaFiber and other broadband service providers. As of now, you will need to register to the Jio website and the app in order to show interest in availing the service. And, Reliance has only launched preview offers for the service, whenever it launches. But the other service providers are already stocking up the big guns to prepare for the subscriber poaching.

Reliance will roll-out their GigaFiber services based on the interests registered from a particular locality. Only registering does not mean you will get to have the service. Oddly enough, this is some kind of a teamwork the company wants to see from a group of people in an area. The more registrations, the more chances of the Jio GigaFiber making ways to your locality. Furthermore, the company has also provided the option to submit details on behalf of your RWA/developer or township, before rolling out the service in the area.
