Alldocube X: An Affordable Alternative to Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

Alldocube is currently working on an Android tablet that it claims is capable of challenging Samsung’s latest high-end Android tablet, Galaxy Tab S4. The company’s Indiegogo campaign was successful in raising more than $94,000. With a month left for the campaign to end, the company has raised $1,85,204 from 831 backers.

Alldocube X: Price, Availability

The Alldocube X has been priced at $269 (Rs.18,800 approx.), which makes it significantly less expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. If you decide to back the Alldocube X on Indiegogo now, you can own for just $219 (Rs.15,300 approx.). However, do note that only 90 units are now left. The tablet is expected to begin shipping by the end of the current quarter in Moonlight Silver. No other color variant has been announced so far.

Alldocube X: Features, Specifications

The Alldocube X features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1600 resolution, which makes it ideal for multimedia consumption. To complement the impressive display, Alldocube X features an independent AK4376A HiFi chip for faithful audio reproduction.  The tablet runs on a MediaTek MT8176 SoC, which includes two high-performance ARM Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores for efficiency. Taking care of the graphics processing is an IMG Power VR GX6250 GPU. In terms of memory, the tablet comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Thanks to a microSD card slot, you can expand the storage further by up to 128GB. When it comes to imaging, the tablet has an 8MP resolution camera both on the front as well as at the rear.

Connectivity features supported by the Alldocube X include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, and a USB Type-C port. Fueling the tablet is a large 8000mAh capacity battery with support for MediaTek Pump Express 2.0 fast charging standard. The company claims the tablet provides up to 8 hours of battery life, depending on the workload. Some of the other key highlights of the Alldocube X include an all-metal CNC unibody design and a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side of the tablet. In terms of software, the tablet will ship with the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
