IFA Berlin might be the place where BlackBerry launches their low-end version of the Key 2 smartphone. But the mobile giants have released a teaser video before the IFA Berlin showdown, an event which is scheduled to happen from 31st August to 5th September. The video, however, fails to reveal much, but just the back shot of the smartphone.
Now that we know how the back of the BlackBerry Key2 LE looks like, there has also been speculation about what the smartphone might carry. The curiosity was much because TCL was quick to release a low-end version of their already released BlackBerry Key2 model. The BlackBerry Key2 LE is also a keyboard smartphone, like its high-end variant, and although the specifications are yet to be confirmed, the smartphone will definitely be cheaper than the Key2 which is priced at $650.

As BlackBerry plan to unveil their low-end variant of the Key2 smartphone at IFA Berlin, they did try to build excitement among those eagerly waiting for it. BlackBerry released a small teaser video, which to much surprise showed only the back of the phone, in what was a concise video. So apart from knowing how the rear end of the phone looks now, we know nothing more about it. There are however several leaked photos of the front side of the BlackBerry Key2 LE, but nothing that is confirmed yet. Alternatively, BlackBerry also confirmed the impending launch of the phone will take place at IFA Berlin, but this is something we all knew beforehand anyway.

BlackBerry Key2 LE: Rumoured Specifications, Features
With the central concept of the BlackBerry Key2 LE being a low-end version of the recently released Key2 smartphone, there sure will be a reduction in the price for the smartphone. But that aside, BlackBerry has not been providing any sort of information on the specifications or features of the Key2 LE. So relying on sources, who have speculated on rumours of what the BlackBerry Key2 Le might pack in its contents. To start with it is rumoured that the BlackBerry Key2 will have a Snapdragon 636 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM. The variant is set to be available in two storage options, namely 32GB and 64GB, but there’s no news on the memory expansion part yet. The BlackBerry Key2 LE has a 4.5-inch 1,620×1080 pixel LCD display, which is also the same as Key2, and the front side, like the Key2, will have a keyboard. Although it is rumoured that the Key2 LE’s keyboard is different from the one on the Key2, with one change that is the integration of the fingerprint scanner with the spacebar on the keyboard.
Compared to the Key2, the BlackBerry Key2 LE is set to have a downgraded camera, with the rear side featuring dual lenses in a 13MP primary paired with a 5MP secondary lens. The front facing camera is expected to be an 8MP selfie shooter, although these are only rumours and nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Lastly, the phone will pack a 3000mAh battery. We will also reveal more on the Blackberry Key2, regarding its exact specifications and features, once there is some sort of confirmation.
BlackBerry Key2 LE: Expected Pricing
As the BlackBerry Key2 LE is expected to be a low-end version of the BlackBerry Key2 smartphone, the prices are expected to drop, but there has been no confirmation on that front so far. While the Key2 is priced at $650, the projected cost of the Blackberry Key2 LE should be around $500 or under. But for the exact price and other details of the smartphone, we will have to wait for IFA Berlin or confirmation of the details from BlackBerry themselves or a reliable source in the coming days.
