
There’s been a lot of buzz about the upcoming Honor 8X smartphone from the Huawei sub-brand. There have been plenty of leaks, reports, rumors, trending the news on. This is the successor to the Honor 7X, which was a big hit for the company. The most recent rumours have stated that Honor will launch two variants of the Honor 8X.
One of the variants of the Honor 8X will be called Max, and this would be the phone with a super large display. Now, Honor has officially confirmed both the models, and also announced a launch date of September 5. In this post, we will talk about the top five main features of both the phones.

Two Variants: We know that Honor will be releasing two variants of the Honor 8X. The leaked live photos we saw recently should belong to the Honor 8X Max, which will come with a bigger screen. We are not sure how different both the variants would be, as no such information has been leaked yet. It is possible that the only difference could be in the screen size, and the battery.

Large Display and Battery: We have known for sometime that Honor will be launching a new phone with a large 7.12-inch display. Now, this phone seems to belong to the Honor 8X Max. The display will have a resolution of Full HD+ and come with a tall aspect ratio. Expect the side bezels to be thin, a slightly thicker bezel at the bottom with Honor branding, and the device to have a notch. The Max will also come with a large battery, a 4900mAh unit, according to the leaks and reports.
Small Notch: Leaked pictures of the phone have shown us that the phone will come with a notched display. However, unlike previous Honor or Huawei phones, the new Honor 8X will come with a smaller notch that only cuts around the front camera. It will be similar to the Essential phone, and also to the recently released Oppo F9 Pro.
GPU Turbo: Huawei’s graphics accelerating technology, GPU Turbo, will also be available on these new Honor phones. It was first revealed with the Honor Play, and is said to improve gaming performance by up to without affecting the battery life of the phone. This means that you can play longer and harder.

Mid-range Hardware: We also know that both the Honor 8X and the Honor 8X Max are going to be mid-range smartphones. The phones will either come with the Kirin 710 chipset, or the Snapdragon 660. Both phones are also said to have upto 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. We also know, from leaked photos and renders, that the phone will come with a vertical dual-camera setup at the back.

So yeah, those are the five key features that we know about the upcoming Honor 8X and 8X Max. The phones are going to be announced on September 5 in China, where we will know all the details for sure. Honor will most likely release this phone in India as well, hopefully by the end of September. It is likely to be priced around Rs. 20,000 for the regular 8X, and a few thousand more for the 8X Max.
