A new software update is currently being seeded to the Oppo Find X smartphone. The flagship phone from Oppo was released a few months ago, and is now getting a software update that improves the camera and more.

The Oppo Find X is a revolutionary phone, as it is one of the first devices to come with a fully hidden front and rear camera units. The entire setup rises via a motorized slider, which means the entire front of the device is the display. Apart from a slim bezel at the bottom, there are no other bezels on the phone.

The design of the Find X is striking as well, since there is nothing on the back either. The phone also has no fingerprint scanner, and only relies on the 3D face recognition tech on the front.

Oppo Find X Software Update: What’s New?

Software updates are important to keep the phone up to date, and they also bring new features to the device. In this latest update for the Oppo Find X, the company claims to have added some improvements to the camera. The phone comes with a dual-camera setup at the back, and generally takes good pictures.

The changelog for the update says that the camera stability and effect have been improved. Apart from that, it improves the system stability of the phone, and also includes some bug fixes. This is a small update, weighs just 153MB, and is available over-the-air. If you own an Oppo Find X, then you should have received the update.

Oppo Find X: Specifications, Features

The Find X is a flagship smartphone, and it is an important one, as it brought along a new idea for a smartphone with a full screen, no bezels, and no hardware buttons or visible camera modules. It comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and almost no bezels, and no notch.

A tiny bezel is available at the bottom of the phone, but despite that, the phone has a 93.8 screen-to-body ratio. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides, and has a beautiful design. The main attraction of the phone, is its futuristic looks, the sliding motorized panel, and the 3D Face scanner.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor, which can be combined with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Hidden in the sliding panel, is a dual-camera setup at the back, and a 3D Face scanning setup at the front. The back camera setup consists of 16MP and 20MP sensors, where the main 16MP unit comes with OIS. On the front, there is a 25MP sensor, along with an IR scanner and other sensors for face scanning. The tech is similar to the iPhone X, but Oppo claims that it is much more secure and faster.

A 3730mAh battery keeps the lights on, and to keep the phone juiced up at all times, you get VOOC flash charging. You can charge your phone to 100 percent in just half hour. On the software side, you get Android 8.1 Oreo topped with Oppo’s ColorOS 5.1 UI.
