Xiaomi recently launched POCOPHONE, a brand that brought Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, the octa-core Snapdragon 845, into a budget Android smartphone. The sub-brand of the Chinese electronics giant is truly going international. The POCOPHONE F1 or POCO F1 (moniker in India), is the company’s first smartphone. The company confirmed that the device will now be available in several new markets across the globe.
The Indian smartphone market is set to receive a slew of capable mid-range Android devices, and the POCOPHONE brand’s POCO F1 is one of them. However, even while getting ready for the Indian launch and sale, the Xiaomi’s sub-brand is thinking global. The POCOPHONE’s official Twitter handle offered an image that lists many international markets in which the POCOPHONE F1 will soon be available for purchase.

Xiaomi launched the POCO F1 smartphone barely a few days ago in India and unveiled globally yesterday i.e. 27th August 2018 as POCOPHONE F1. Xiaomi launched the POCO F1 smartphone barely a few days ago. The device is certainly exceptional for the launch price. Interestingly, there’s even an Armored Edition of the POCO F1 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage for Rs. 29,999. Also, this special edition sports an Aramid Kevlar back. Incidentally, the back may be mistaken for plastic, but the Kevlar material is known for its exceptional toughness and shock absorption capabilities. This back should stay intact and protect the smartphone from drops, a feature that the glass-backed smartphones don’t have.

The POCO F1 features a 6.18-inch 1080 x 2246 Full HD+ resolution IPS LCD display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. Besides the Snapdragon 845 processor and ample memory, there’s even a LiquidCool technology that claims to assure the processor maintains its peak performance even during extended gaming sessions. The Xiaomi POCO F1 packs a large 4,000mAh battery pack that should offer longer runtimes.
A dual camera setup includes 12MP + 5MP. The primary sensor comes with dual-pixel autofocus and a large 1.4-micrometer pixel sensor that reproduces sharp images even under poor lighting conditions. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) distinguishes across 206 scenes and automatically adjusts the exposure, saturation in media files, and other photo optimizations to ensure high-quality photos. On the front is a large 20MP camera that promises Face Unlock in just 0.4 seconds. It is assisted by an infrared sensor.
The POCO F1 is available for sale in India starting tomorrow i.e. 29th August 2018. The availability in global markets starts a day later i.e. 30th August 2018.
