We’ve been seeing a lot of leaks and rumors about the upcoming mid-range smartphone from Vivo, called the Vivo X23. It is the successor to the X21, and comes with improved hardware and slightly new design. We pretty much know most specifications of the device, but there was some doubt about what processor the phone would use. It seems to have been cleared now, as the phone just arrived on AnTuTu’s benchmarking site, revealing the main specifications.
The phone has also appeared previously on other benchmarking websites, and passed through certifications. There was much speculation about it online, but now everything has been pretty much confirmed. The launch date has also been confirmed, thanks to leaked posters. Vivo will be launching the X23 on September 6th in Beijing, China.
Vivo has been killing it in China and India with its mid-range smartphones, bringing new technology at affordable prices. For example, the Vivo X21 was one of the first phones to bring the in-display fingerprint tech to the masses.

Vivo X23: AnTuTu Benchmark
The benchmark results on AnTuTu, for the Vivo X23, have confirmed the specifications. Like we said earlier, all the leaks and rumors weren’t really matching when it came to the processor. One report said that the phone would use the Snapdragon 710 chipset, while another stated that it would come with the Snapdragon 670 processor.
Now, the AnTuTu result shows that the phone has a Snapdragon 670 processor. Again, there is a possibility that Vivo could launch different variants of the X23, but that is not very likely. The phone that appeared on AnTuTu carries the model number V1809A, which is said to belong to the Vivo X23.

Also, the phone will have up to 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. This too has been confirmed by Vivo themselves, in the leaked posters. The benchmark result gives the phone around 157,000 points, which is pretty good considering this is a mid-range phone. You can definitely play all the new games, and multi-task, with the SD 670 and 8GB of RAM.
Vivo X23: Specifications, Features
The new Vivo X23 will be the successor to the X21, and will also adopt the new display design that has been made popular by the Oppo R17 Pro. Since Vivo and Oppo are sister brands, this is not surprising.
The phone will come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Underneath the display, you will get the fingerprint sensor. The display will adopt the waterdrop notch design, and will reportedly constitute 91.2 percent of the phone.
Camera details about the phone are still a little bit hazy, but it will definitely be a dual-camera setup, placed vertically. We expect the phone to come with a 12MP + 5MP setup, which should be more than enough to take good shots during the day. But that may not be the case, as the company could include better cameras. It will also feature several AI enhancements such as a AI portrait mode, and even Face Unlock, using the 25MP front camera.
The phone is also said to feature a headphone jack and dedicated audio DAC for awesome sound. Out of the box, it will run Vivo’s Funtouch OS 4.0 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. We also expect Vivo to launch the phone in India very soon, hopefully by the end of next month. The phone will also come in some colors that look super premium, also teased by the company. It will include color options such as; Magic Night Blue, Phantom Red, and Phantom Purple.
