OPPO A5 2020 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage Variant Launched in India: Price, Features

Back in September 2019, OPPO India had launched an entry-level smartphone called the OPPO A5 2020. Back then, the phone came in two versions — a base 3GB/32GB version priced at 12,490 and a top-end 4GB/64GB version that was priced at Rs 13,990. Three months on, the company has refreshed the OPPO A5 2020 with yet another version. This new variant packs in 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This new variant is identical to the older A5 2020 in all other respects. Nevertheless, let us now take a closer look at the specifications of this device.

OPPO A5 2020 Specifications, features

The OPPO A5 2020 comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC that packs in eight Kryo 260 cores and the Adreno 610 GPU for graphics. The display on the A5 measures 6.5-inches across and boasts of FHD+ resolution. The screen gets a V-shaped notch at the top for housing the front-facing camera. For protection and added durability, the display also gets a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The OPPO A5 2020 gets a quad-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 12MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, and a third 2MP camera for monochrome shots and another 2MP sensor for depth sensing. At the front, the phone gets by with an 8MP fixed focus camera for selfies and video calling.

The A5 2020 packs in a 5,000 mAh battery and supports reverse charging as well as 18W fast charging. The handset runs ColorOS 6.1 atop an Android 9 Pie core. It should get the official nod for Android 10-based ColorOS 7 sometime next year.

As mentioned earlier, the A5 2020 now comes in three versions, with the newest version featuring 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This new version wills et you back by INR 14,990.
