Samsung has had an eventful 2019. The company consolidated its position in the flagship smartphones space in 2019 by launching the Galaxy S10 and the Note 10 Series — both of which were well-received. The trend is likely to continue into the next decade, with Samsung planning to come up with the Galaxy S11 series in the first quarter of 2020. However, if we are to believe a recent tweet by famed leakster IceUniverse, we might just see a radical change in the naming scheme of the Galaxy S Series next year.
Samsung Galaxy S11 or Galaxy S20?
The year 2020 would mark a decade since the release of the first-generation Galaxy S device. Chances, therefore, remain high that we could see a significant upgrade on the features and specs front for the upcoming Galaxy S. According to IceUniverse, instead of opting for the Galaxy S11 moniker, there is a chance that the next-gen Samsung Galaxy S flagship could be called the Samsung Galaxy S20. No prizes for guessing what the 20 in the S20 signifies.
Next year is 2020, and 20 is a new beginning.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 to sport clamshell design?
After showcasing its first foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Fold earlier in the year, the company ran into several issues with the product leading to its delayed release. While that might have been a minor setback, Samsung seems determined to make a strong comeback to the foldable smartphones segment in 2020. In fact, it is already known that Samsung is working on the second-generation Galaxy Fold — the rather obviously named Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. What was not known until now was the design language that the company would adopt for this device. An image posted by IceUniverse on his Twitter feed seems to indicate that the Galaxy Fold 2 would ditch the complex mechanical fold mechanism on the ‘original’ Fold in favor of a simpler, clamshell-style design.
It can be confirmed that the Galaxy Fold2 leaked not long ago will use an ultra-thin glass cover for the first time in the world, replacing plastic materials. The screen looks flatter and has less wrinkles. In fact, this is the correct cover material for foldable phones. pic.twitter.com/BS73BCsA4N

IceUniverse has had a history being pretty accurate when it comes to predictions like these. We, therefore, have no reason to doubt the veracity of these rumors. Do you think Samsung would really name the next-gen Galaxy S device the Galaxy S20?
