OnePlus Nord Reportedly Received Over 4 Million ‘Notify Me’ Requests Ahead of First Sale on Amazon India

OnePlus recently unveiled its mid-range OnePlus Nord smartphone in India after a month full of leaks, teasers, promotional videos, Instagram alerts, banners, and everything. The OnePlus Nord pre-orders have already begun on July 15, 2020 ahead of launch and as it turns out, the OnePlus Nord has become the most anticipated smartphone on the Amazon India e-commerce platform. As per OnePlus, OnePlus has received more than 4 million ‘Notify Me’ alert requests on Amazon India. Furthermore, the company also claims that the OnePlus Nord AR launch invites also sold out completely within hours. Clearly, the hype for the device was not limited to social media and people were indeed deeply interested to know about the device, its pre-order details, price, sale date, and everything associated with it.

As for the specifications, the OnePlus Nord sports a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 408 ppi pixel density, and a 1,080 x 2,400 pixel resolution. The display of the OnePlus Nord is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has a dual punch-hole cutout located in the top left corner. The punch-hole makes room for a 32MP selfie snapper with a Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8MP secondary camera with a 105-degree field of view. Moving around the rear of the device, the OnePlus Nord features a quadruple rear camera setup, which includes a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera.

Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the software front, the OnePlus Nord runs the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with OxygenOS 10.5 skin baked on top of it. Coming to the battery of the device, the OnePlus Nord has a 4,115mAh battery, which has provision for up to 30T fast charging. The device features an under-display fingerprint scanner owing to the AMOLED panel. It measures 158.3×73.3×8.2mm and weighs in at 184 grams.
