Apple has officially announced the launch of its Apple Store online in India on September 23. The online store is going to offer Apple’s full range of products and support directly to customers across the country. Earlier the Apple products were sold through e-commerce websites like Flipkart and Amazon India, but it seems the company has decided to launch its official e-store in India as well. A report from Bloomberg last month claimed that Apple is planning to launch its online store before Diwali.
“We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.
The company claims that the Apple Store online will be the place to shop Apple products. The website will also include an online Apple Specialists to help consumers with anything. Customers can get advice, receive guidance, and learn about new products directly from Apple, both in English and Hindi.
The online store will also allow buyers to custom configure any Mac before the purchase. The e-store is also said to arrive with exciting discounts on accessories to students. There will be some special pricing of Mac or iPad for students as well. Moreover, users can also purchase Apple Care+ directly from the online store. This will increase the warranty up to 2 years with technical support and accidental damage.
“Just in time for the festive season, signature gift wrap and personalized engraving will be available for select products. Engraving of emoji or text in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu will be available for AirPods, and English engraving will be available for iPad and Apple Pencil,” read the official blog post.
The company also ensure that all the orders will be shipped with contactless delivery within 24 to 72 hours after placing the order.
