LG Wing Goes Official with Swivel Display, Gimbal Camera and Snapdragon 765G SoC: Features, Full Specs

After a month full of teasers, leaks, and rumours, LG has finally unveiled its LG Wing smartphone, a pretty unique take towards how we see smartphones in 2020. The LG Wing smartphone features a dual Swivel display, which can solve many of the purposes a traditional smartphone fails to. Take a look at the full specifications and features of the newly launched LG Wing smartphone and find out what it has in store for us.

LG Wing: Specifications and features

Starting with the display of the device, the LG Wing features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ P-OLED panel with a resolution of 2,440 x 1,080 pixels and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, the device has a secondary 3.9-inch G-OLED display with an unusual 1.15:1 aspect ratio. The device has a hinge module with a Hydraulic Damper, which reduces stress when the main display is rotated. The hinge mechanism, as per the company, has been tested for over 200,000 swivels.

The UI has been built to make good use of both displays. LG has partnered with YouTube for the LG Wing smartphone. The result shows when the video plays on the primary display, while the secondary display shows comments and other content such as the search bar. The LG Wing has plenty of such multi-app features (even while gaming, the device provides added benefits). The device has an in-display fingerprint scanner. It measures 169.5 x 74.5 x 10.9 mm and weighs in at 260 grams.

Under the hood, the LG Wing is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. If that much of storage does not suffice for your media consumption needs, LG Wing has scope for storage expansion by up to 2TB with the help of an external SD card. On the software side of things, LG Wing features Android 10 OS out of the box. Of course, the LG Wing is a 5G smartphone.

LG Wing features

In terms of photography, the LG Wing comes with a 64MP primary rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide angle camera with a 117-degree field of view, and a 12MP 120-degree ultra-wide Gimbal mode camera with f/2.2 aperture. Plus, the device has a 32MP pop-up selfie shooter with f/1.9 aperture.

Coming to the battery of the device, the LG Wing sports a 4,000mAh battery, which has scope for 25W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port and 10W wireless charging.

Currently, the brand has not revealed the pricing of the device, but we can expect it to happen soon now. Plus, the device will start rolling out in South Korea on October 2020. A global launch is expected, but has not been confirmed for now.
