Users have complained that the phone automatically goes on a factory reset, which causes users to lose all of their data.

OnePlus Nord random factory reset issue

Several users posted the issue of unsolicited factory resets on the OnePlus forums. One user said that his OnePlus Nord unit performed a factory reset by itself, while it was in his pocket. The user said that this resulted in the loss of all data including music, photos, games, messages, contacts, and more.

“My mom just called me and had the same problem. She put in her pocket and worked for half an hour and when she took it out again it prompted her to set the phone up from new,” another user said in the forum post. Android Police reports that an OnePlus representative has been in touch with users and adds that the company’s developers are working on a fix. However, there is no official confirmation for the same and there is no post on the forums that offer any explanation to this issue.
