Realme 7 Pro Starts Receving First Update Ahead of Its Maiden Sale in India, Here’s the Changelog

Realme launched the Realme 7 Pro along with Realme 7 and several other accessories last week at an event in India. The smartphone is yet to go on sale for the first time, but ahead of the first sale, Realme has now started rolling out a new update for the Realme 7 Pro bringing September Android security patch to the device. The new update for the Realme 7 Pro comes as version RMX2170_11_A.11 and bring several optimizations along with.

Realme 7 Pro gets September Android Security Patch Update

The update brings quite a few camera optimizations to the Realme 7 Pro. It optimizes the clarity of the camera when using third-party apps, preview fluency of the Portrait mode when using the rear camera, clarity of the HDR when using the front camera, clarity of the HDR in Night mode, and also fixes the probabilistic color caste issue in ultra macro camera. Along with these, the update also brings optimizations for the invalid touch control issue which users encountered under some scenarios and the “Mute-Bell-Vibrate” icon state.

Within the first ten days of September, Realme has started September Android security patch rollout, which is commendable considering the Realme 7 Pro is a mid-range device. Realme has been pretty consistent when it comes to rolling out monthly updates to the mid-range devices.

To recall, Realme 7 Pro made it’s global debut last week in India, the device features a  6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole notch and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under-the-hood it packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G coupled with Adreno 618 GPU, and up to 8GB RAM, similar to its predecessor, Realme 6 Pro.

On the optics front, the device packs a 64MP quad-rear camera setup with Sony IMX682 primary sensor, which is accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel B&W portrait camera, along with an LED flash. On the front side, it packs a 32MP selfie shooter. The device packs a 4500mAh dual-cell battery with 65W SuperDart charging support, which can be charged over a Type-C port.

Realme 7 Pro starts at Rs 19,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant while the top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage costs Rs 21,999. It will go on sale in India starting September 14th via Flipkart and Realme.com.
