Dubbed as Redmi 9i, the smartphone joins the long list of Redmi 9 series which includes Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, and the Redmi 9 Prime. The major highlights of the smartphone are the MediaTek processor, long-lasting battery, a dual-camera setup, and more. For those who are waiting to buy the latest smartphone, Redmi 9i will go on sale for the first time in India today at 12:00 noon. It is important to note that the phone will be available in flash sales, meaning that only a limited number of units will be up for grabs. The Redmi 9i price in India starts at INR 8,499 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB model. The 4GB RAM + 128GB option is priced at INR 9,299. The phone is available in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green colour options. It will be available for purchase via Flipkart India, Mi.com and select retail stores across the country. Flipkart is offering some interesting launch offers for the Redmi 9i.

To start with, customers can avail 5 per cent unlimited cashback on Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card and 5 per cent off with Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card. One can also avail no-cost EMI starting at INR 923 per month. However, the no-cost EMI option is only available for Flipkart Axis Bank customers.

Coming to the specifications, the Redmi 9i features a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone flaunts the MediaTek Helio G25 processor and for graphics, it comes with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone is available with 4GB of RAM and is available in 64GB and 128GB of storage options. The memory can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card.

In terms of optics, the Redmi 9i sports a single-camera setup with 13MP primary lens with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, you get a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The phone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top of it.
