Airtel Partners with Vedantu To Launch Two Educational DTH Channels for Class 6 to 12 Students

Airtel Digital TV, the DTH arm of Bharti Airtel, has announced its partnership with Vedantu. For those who are not aware, Vedantu is an online learning platform that provides online classes to students. The partnership will bring quality education to students across India. With this, students can take online classes right from the Airtel DTH by paying a nominal fee. The new partnership will also give a stiff competition to Tata Sky Classroom, which also provides free e-learning to students across the country. Here’s what you need to know about the new partnership between Airtel Digital TV and Vedantu.

Airtel partners with Vedantu to launch DTH channels for online classes

Under the partnership, Airtel Digital TV will add two dedicated DTH channels for the students across India. Known as Vedantu Masterclasses, the channels will be available at an affordable price of Rs 4 per day. The company has revealed that the channels will cater to students from Classes 6 to 10 and Classes 11 to 12 respectively. The channels will cover Maths and Science subjects.

Furthermore, the faculty for learning includes graduates from IIT and AIIMS with proven track records in teaching. The medium of teaching will be a mix of English and Hindi. The company also has plans to add regional language content, where possible. Moving on, the company says that it will provide 11 hours of fresh interactive content on a daily basis to students. Students can also revise the content with repeat telecast. The classes will also include interactive quizzes to which students can respond to using the TV remote.

With this, Airtel Digital TV will compete with Tata Sky Classroom initiative. The Classroom service is available for free on channel 653. The service helps to learn core concepts based on curriculum through animated story-led videos. The Tata Sky service is available for Classes 5 to 8 and offers Maths and Science lessons. It also provides educational games along with animated learning videos.
