Samsung is planning to expand its Galaxy A series with the launch of its upcoming Galaxy A02. Back in September, the specifications of the smartphone were leaked but the battery specifications of the phone were not disclosed in the previous leak. However, it seems that the battery specifications are also out now. The regulatory body in Latin America CPQD R&D Center has issued a certificate revealing the battery capacity of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A02. Here’s a closer look at the certification.
According to the 91 Mobiles report, the smartphone is listed with a model number SM-A025M/DS. This certification also contains the battery information with model code HQ-50S. The same battery model was earlier spotted in TUV Rheinland with a typical battery capacity of 5,000mAh battery and rated capacity of 4,800mAh. With this new information, we can expect that the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy A02 might pack a 5,000mAh battery.
Going by the reports of the previous leak suggested that the Galaxy M02 is also going to be fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery because the smartphone shares similar specs with the Galaxy A02. Furthermore, the report also suggests that this might be the same smartphone rebranded as the Galaxy A02 and Galaxy M02 for different markets.
Samsung Galaxy A02 Speculated Specifications
Previous leaks suggest that the Galaxy A02 smartphone is going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. However, there is no information about the exact chip name, Geekbench test scores suggest that the phone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 450 SoC. Besides, the chipset is said to be clubbed by Adreno 506 GPU.
The Geekbench listing also suggests that the Galaxy A02 will run on Android 10 operating system and 2GB RAM. It is expected to feature a 5.7-inch display waterdrop notch design. On the optical front, the Galaxy A02 features a dual rear camera setup with the combination of the 13-megapixel primary and 2-megapixel depth sensor, along with an LED flash. Upfront, it offers an 8-megapixel camera sensor for selfies and video calls.
Do note that the aforementioned information about the upcoming Galaxy A02 is based out of leaks and rumours. The company is yet to reveal anything officially, so we recommend you to take this information with the pinch of salt and wait for the official announcement.
