OnePlus 9 Pro vs OnePlus 9 vs OnePlus 9R: Performance
Coming to the performance, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro pack Qualcomm’s top of the line – Snapdragon 888 SoC under-the-hood. While the OnePlus 9R gets Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, which is a marginal improvement over Qualcomm’s last-gen flagship – Snapdragon 865. The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro offer faster LPDDR5 RAM, while the company has not specified the RAM version for the OnePlus 9R on the product page. All three devices pack UFS 3.1 dual-lane storage and boot Android 11 based OxygenOS 11.
OnePlus 9 Pro vs OnePlus 9 vs OnePlus 9R: Battery
All three OnePlus 9 series devices pack a 4,500mAh battery with 65W Warp Charge 65 fast-charging. The OnePlus 9 Pro supports 50W wireless charging, while the OnePlus 9R doesn’t support it, no surprises there, right? But what’s surprising is the fact that the regular OnePlus 9 supports 15W Qi Wireless charging, BUT only in select regions. OnePlus 9 buyers in India will not be able to enjoy wireless charging.
OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9 Pro devices come bundled with a Type-C to Type-C charging cable, while the OnePlus 9R will ship with a Type-A to Type-C cable. This might not be a deal-breaker but is certainly dubious considering the company bundled a Type-C to Type-C cable with the OnePlus 8T.
