Realme 8, 8 Pro First Sale Today in India at 12 Noon on Flipkart, Realme.com: Prices, Specifications, Best Alternatives

Realme launched the Realme 8 and 8 Pro on March 24 in India. A day after the launch, the two mid-range smartphones go on their first sale in India. The Realme 8 series would be available for purchase via Flipkart and Realme India website via a flash sale. Both models come with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The 8 Pro comes with a 108MP quad-camera setup on the back. It also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC. Both devices sport an AMOLED panel and come with 60Hz refresh rate. Realme 8 Pro price in India

The 8 Pro comes in two storage configurations. There is a base 6GB + 128GB storage option priced at Rs 17,999. The higher 8GB +128GB storage option is priced at Rs 19,999. It comes in Illuminating Yellow, Infinite Black, Infinite Blue colour options.

Realme 8 price in India

The vanilla Realme 8 smartphone comes in three storage options. The base 4GB + 128GB storage option is priced at Rs 14,999. Realme has also launched the device in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB storage options. The two variants are priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively. It is available in Cyber Silver and Cyber Black colours.

As part of the launch offers, customers can avail an instant 10 percent discount on ICICI credit cards and EMI transactions. 

Alternatives

The biggest competitor of the Realme 8 series is Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 10 series. The Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max, which are priced Rs 1,000 higher than each of Realme’s 8 series come with a faster Snapdragon 732G processor and come with a Super AMOLED 120Hz display. The Note 10 Pro Max also comes with a 108MP quad-camera setup on the back.

Other alternatives include Realme’s own Realme Narzo 30 Pro and Realme X7 which come with 5G chipsets.

Realme 8 Pro specifications 

The 8 Pro comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. It has a 1080p Full HD+ resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The display has a 180Hz touch sampling rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness. It comes with a hole-punch cutout, resulting in a 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. The 8 Pro weighs 176 grams and is 8.1mm thick.

Under the hood, the device draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The device packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 50W fast charging support. Realme is shipping the device with a 65W fast charger in the box. 

On the back, the phone comes with a quad-camera setup. There is a 108MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The camera module also features a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the device has a 16MP front camera sensor inside the punch-hole cutout.

Realme 8 specifications 

The vanilla Realme 8 shares the same display specs of the Pro model. It comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The screen features 60Hz refresh rate support and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Other display specs include 1000 nits of peak brightness, in-display fingerprint scanner, etc.

It features a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, paired with 4GB/ 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device comes with a 5000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

On the back, there is a quad-camera setup. The smartphone features a 64MP primary camera sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. It also comes with a 2 MP macro lens, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies, it has a 16MP front camera sensor. 

Both devices run on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box.
