Infinix Extends Smartphone Warranty By Two Months If it Expires Before June 15

Smartphone makers have been extending warranty on their products, considering that lockdown is imposed in many states in India. The country is battling the second COVID-19 wave, because of which all the smartphone service centers in India are closed. We earlier saw Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, Realme, and OnePlus extending warranty on their products if it expires during this lockdown period. Now, Infinix is joining this same initiative, as the brand has announced that it will be extending the warranty on its smartphone by two months. To check the warranty on your Infinix handsets, you can use the pre-installed CarlCare Mobile. Let’s check more details on this ahead:

Infinix Is Extending Warranty On Its Smartphone By Two Months

The extra 60 days warranty period only applies to smartphones as per Infinix. The warranty extension will only apply to smartphones that have their warranties expiring between April 15 and June 15. As mentioned above, eligible customers will need to use the pre-installed CarlCare mobile application and register on it before June 30 2021. You will need to follow the below steps to extend the warranty on your handset if it expires between April 15 and June 15.

To extend the smartphone warranty, customers can do the following:

  •  Open the CarlCare Mobile application and click on the warranty button on the home page
  • You will need to check the validity of the device by entering the IMEI number
  • If your smartphone is eligible for an extension, a 60 days extended warranty option will be visible. You will need to tap on receive to extend the warranty option.

This way you can take advantage of the extra 60-day extension warranty, if your smartphone warranty expires in the specified period as mentioned above. Recently, we even saw OnePlus extending warranty on its all products till June 30th in India. Realme also announced a similar initiative on its product, where the brand specified it will be providing an extended warranty on its products till July 31st. Apart from the extended warranty initiative, we also saw smartphone companies postponing their product launches in India that were scheduled to take place in May. For example, Realme canceled its May 4th launch in India, due to the second COVID-19 wave. Similarly, ASUS was expected to launch the Zenfone 8 lineup in India on May 12th. However, before the launch, ASUS Business Head Dinesh Sharma confirmed through a tweet that unless the COVID-19 situation in India gets better, the company won’t be launching the Zenfone 8 lineup in the country.
