Xiaomi has launched a new Redmi Note series device – Redmi Note 8 2021 for the global markets. Redmi Note 8 2021 is launched to celebrate the 25million sale milestone of the original Redmi Note 8 that launched back in 2019. The official listing for the Note 8 2021 went live a couple of days back revealing all the information about the device. Now, Xiaomi has officially revealed the pricing of the smartphone. The Note 8 2021 retails in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The handset is available for purchase in several global markets, but rumors suggest that it will not launch in the Indian market.

The Note 8 2021 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 2340×1080 pixel resolution. The display panel has 500nits peak brightness, and will sport Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The handset features a dot notch that houses the front selfie shooter.

Under-the-hood, the smartphone sports an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, built on a 12nm fabrication process. While, the graphics duties on the handset are handled by an integrated Mali-G52 GPU. The handset comes with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB emmc 5.1 storage. It also has a dedicated micro-SD card slot to expand the storage further. The device boots Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 out of the box.
