Xiaomi announced the MIUI 12 back in April 2020. This newer UI brought in Dark Mode 2.0, Super Wallpapers, new animations and gestures, and much more. It even also had sensory visual design changes, health tracking, enhanced privacy, AI calling, and several new tweaks. Now, it is rumoured that the Chinese smartphone maker is prepping up for the launch of the next-generation UI for its smartphone which will arrive as MIUI 13. The launch date of this newer UI version (MIUI 13) is revealed through a Telegram channel, which suggests us that Xiaomi will announce MIUI 13 on June 25th in China.
MIUI 13 Tipped To Launch on June 25
The post in the Telegram group does mention that this is just the rumoured launch date, and the actual launch date of the MIUI 13 may vary. The company is expected to announce the MIUI 13 in Q2 2021. This newer version is expected to more stable, faster, and shall bring in more new features. As of now, we still don’t have any exact information or idea, as in how will the MIUI 13 will look like, and what new features the company will bring in this newer version. Rumours suggest us that Xiaomi is prepping up to add an extended RAM feature in its upcoming UI. Twitter user Kacper Skrzypek had found evidence of this new feature in an MIUI code a few days back. As far as the release of the MIUI 13 go, it will first be made available for devices in the Chinese market. Xiaomi should release the MIUI 13 globally later on. The company might even host a dedicated event for the launch of this newer version in the global market. Alongside the MIUI 13, Xiaomi is also expected to launch the Mi MIX 4 on June 25th. The MI MIX 4 smartphone is reportedly in the work, which is considered to be codenamed as ODIN. Rumours suggest that the MI MIX 4 will arrive with an AMOLED display featuring Quad HD+ resolution. The device is also expected to offer a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device under the hood could be Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC.
The MI MIX 4 is also rumoured to adopt an under-display fingerprint sensor. As far as the imaging aspect of the device go, it might feature a triple-camera setup. The smartphone is expected to sport a 50-megapixel primary main camera. It might include a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens that could offer 5x optical zoom. We should have more information about this upcoming flagship, when it arrives on any benchmark or certification in the upcoming few weeks.
