Call of Duty Vanguard Multiplayer Will be Free-To-Play from November 18

Call of Duty Vanguard came out only about a couple of weeks ago, but it looks like Activision are doing a new Free Access week much closer to launch than before. Starting November 18, players will be able to play Vanguard’s Multiplayer for free, until November 22, a full 4 days of chaotic WWII Call of Duty action. The Free Access period begins 10 AM November 18 and will expire 10 AM, November 22nd.

As a little cherry on top of this Free Access cake, Activision are also introducing Vanguard‘s version of Shipment on November 17. Shipment, prior to Gunfight, was the smallest map in Call of Duty history, and continues to be one of the most beloved maps in COD history.

The Free Access period will contain all features of Multiplayer, including access to all weapons and their upgrades, Operators, as well as playlists featuring Combat pacing, plus all 17 maps. Shipment will be available later today and it will be interesting to see what kind of changes does the WWII setting bring to the map, and whether it will be a different experience fundamentally.

The Free Access period only incudes the Multiplayer mode, and not Zombies or the Campaign. While the Multiplayer remains a highlight of Call of Duty Vanguard, the Campaign is a solid offering for those looking for that signature large-scale COD action set-pieces, but this time with a bit of a personal touch.

Our review for COD Vanguard highlighted the small improvements Sledgehammer have made to the multiplayer, specifically with Combat Pacing. Essentially, the feature allows players to put additional filters to their matchmaking settings that allows them to have more control over what kind of matches they will be playing.
