Realme 8 November Patch Released, Glance for Realme, and More

Realme launched the Realme 8 handset earlier this year in the country. The Chinese smartphone brand has been rolling out updates frequently for the handset. In a new development, the company has now started rolling out a new update with firmware version RMX3085_11.A.22 for the Realme 8 handset. The update also brings the latest November 2021 Android security patch to the device. Let us take a detailed look at what the update has in store for Realme 8 users.

Realme 8 November Update Brings Glance for Realme!

Realme took it to Realme Community to share the development. Realme 8 November update comes with firmware version RMX3085_11.A.22, and the OTA for the same is around 255MBs in size. Take a look at official changelogs below,

• Integrates the November 2021 Android security patch.

Glance for realme

• Adds Glance for realme: Glance for realme adds exquisite and informative content across subscribed categories like news, entertainment, sports, games and shopping on the Lock screen

• The content is updated over Wi-Fi and mobile data. You can turn off the function of using mobile data to update contents automatically. Operation path: Settings > Home screen, Lock screen & Always-On Display > Glance for realme > Update content using mobile data

• By updating, you are agreeing to the Glance User Agreement (https://glance.com/eula3) and Glance Privacy Policy (https://glance.com/privacy-policy)

System

• Fixes some known issues

• Optimizes system stability

The update also brings a new Glance for Realme feature, a feature that shows contents from various categories on the lock screen. It is powered by Glance by InMobi and is already found in Samsung and Xiaomi devices. Users can head over to Settings > Home screen, Lock screen & Always-On Display > Glance for realme > Update content using mobile data to turn off the feature.

Realme says that this is a phased rollout and the update will be available to all the users very soon. To those unaware, Android OEMs follow phased rollout to minimize the impact of critical bugs.
