Samsung Galaxy A13 to Feature Quad-Cameras, Production Begins at Greater Noida Factory

Samsung is prepping up to launch a new mid-range A-series handset – Galaxy A13 5G. The handset is expected to launch in the coming weeks. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A13 might be the company’s cheapest 5G-enabled handset to date. Now, a new report by 91mobiles suggests that the Korean tech giant is also working on a 4G variant of the handset. The report further claims that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A13 (4G variant) has entered into production in Samsung’s India factory that is situated in Greater Noida.

91mobiles report also reveals some information regarding the design of the upcoming handset. The upcoming Galaxy A13 (4G variant) will come with a plastic back panel. The back panel will feature a glossy finish and feature a quad-camera setup. 91mobiles report suggests that the camera arrangement on the upcoming Galaxy A13 will be similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G. Also, the upcoming Galaxy handset will feature a 3.5mm audio port, a Type-C charging port, and a speaker grille at the bottom. While the right edge will house the power button and the volume rockers.

In terms of specifications, the report doesn’t reveal anything. Since the handset has entered the production phase, we can expect it to launch soon. Samsung Galaxy A13 5G: Features and Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G has already cleared several certifications including FCC, Bluetooth SIG, and has also appeared on the Geekbench database. The handset will likely be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC which is built on TSMC’s 7nm fabrication process. The Dimensity 700 will come with an integrated Mali G57 GPU that is clocked at 950MHz. The Galaxy A13 5G will boot OneUi 3.1, based on Android 11.

The renders of the Galaxy A13 5G were leaked on the web revealing a 6.48-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. The handset might feature a 50MP triple-rear camera setup and a 5,000mAh battery. Also, FCC certification has already confirmed that the upcoming handset will offer 15W fast charging support. The handset will offer a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, embedded in the power button.
