OnePlus launched its latest flagship Android smartphone, the OnePlus 6T yesterday at an event in New York. The OnePlus 6T is all set to launch in India today at 8PM IST. The secret to the exceptional gaming and app performance lies in the ‘Smart Boost’ feature that reportedly uses the onboard RAM as temporary storage medium. This significantly speeds up data storage and retrieval. Overall, the company claims it has made over 500 ‘targeted optimizations’ to the software.
Besides these above improvements, the OnePlus 6T has a 3,700mAh battery, which is 23 percent larger than the one in the OnePlus 6. There’s also a dedicated ‘Night Mode’ that dynamically alters the display parameters, including the blue color emission to reduce eye strain. However, beginning with the OnePlus 6T, the company has permanently retired the 3.5mm headphone jack.
