Realme has finally taken the wraps off its first member of the Realme V5 series of smartphones, dubbed the Realme V5, in China. The Realme V5 is a mid-range 5G Android smartphone and has features like a quadruple rear camera setup, a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, a MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor, and support for up to 30W Dart fast charging. Realme V5: Price

The Realme V5 is launched in two memory variants in China, one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is priced at CNY 1,499, which roughly translates to somewhere around INR 16,000 and one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is priced at CNY 1,899, which roughly translates to somewhere around INR 20,000.

Realme V5: Specifications and features

Starting with the display of the device, the Realme V5 features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ panel with a 1080 × 2400 pixels resolution. The display of the device comes with a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, which is located in the top left corner. Owing to the IPS LCD panel, the Realme V5 has a side-mounted physical fingerprint scanner, which doubles as the power button. The punch-hole makes room for a 16MP selfie shooter. At the back, the Realme V5 boasts a quadruple rear camera, which includes a 48MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro lens , and a 2MP depth sensor. The device measures 162.2×75.1×9.1mm and weighs in at 194 grams.

Under the hood, the Realme V5 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset, which is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. On the software side of things, the Realme V5 runs on the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house Realme UI skin baked on top of it.
