Play Station 5 owners this might be bad news for you people if you are interested in playing Marvel’s Spider-Man. According to a report from Polygon, the PS5 will not support the Spider-Man: Miles Morales which is compatible for PlayStation 4. Gamers must purchase a new Spider-Man: Miles Morales which is built for PS5. A Sony representative confirmed that the Spider-Man: Remastered for PS5 will not have any upgrade path from the PS4.

A Sony representative originally told Kotaku that, “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered is an enhanced version of Marvel’s Spider-Man, and is included as part of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition for the PlayStation 5. In addition, players who purchase Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PlayStation 4 can upgrade at no additional cost to the PS5 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and can take advantage of a paid-upgrade to download Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered.”
Sony PlayStation 5 Compatibility
According to the Sony representative player with Spider-Man PS4 can purchase the upgraded version of the game for PS5 to experience new graphics. Also do note that the upgraded version of a Remastered will arrive along with the Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition only.
The report also suggests that the Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition will be upgradable to PlayStation 5 for free but the Spider-Man Remaster is not included in the bundle. For the upgradation, you need to opt for the Ultimate Edition which will cost you USD 20 extra.
Meanwhile, there is still no confirmation on the release date and pre-orders or PlayStation 5 in the Indian market. According to the reports, the company is planning to announce the information soon. Xbox Series X and the Series S, on the other hand, is already up for pre-orders in the country. So far we have this much information about the PlayStation 5, we can expect more information as we move closer to the release date.
