The brand now appears to be working on a more affordable variant of its Mi Watch, as we have spotted the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite on the UL (Demko) certification website, which confirms its moniker and reveals a few details about it as well. The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, as the name suggests, could be a toned-down variant of the Xiaomi Mi Watch with a relatively lower price tag. As seen in the UL (Demko) certification image, the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite (with the model number REDMIWT02) has recently been certified. The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite will operate on input 5Vdc and 0.4A. Other than this, the certification does not tell us much about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, but we can expect the watch to pop up on more certifications in the coming times. A global launch of the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite can be expected.
Redmi smartwatch tipped to launch in October
In another turn of events, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is also reportedly in the works to launch a new Redmi smartwatch. The Redmi smartwatch (or presumably the Redmi Watch) is said to launch in October 2020. As per the tipster Digital Chat Station, the Redmi smartwatch will bear the model number REDMIWT01 and has already received the MIIT certification.
