Three months after its launch in China, Lenovo has indicated that it will bring its gaming-centric smartphone — the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel to India. Lenovo’s intention to bring this device to India was revealed after a product page for the phone recently went live on Lenovo’s India website. Among the most powerful gaming smartphones currently available, the Legion Phone Duel is currently available in China and select countries in Europe. In case you weren’t too familiar with the spec sheet of this powerful gaming smartphone, here’s a quick refresher.
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel: Specifications, features
The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel – as expected – comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC and ships with a whopping 16GB of RAM on the top variant. The phone also gets a dual-liquid cooling system that claims to maintain optimum temperature levels at all times and prevents thermal throttling. Apart from this, the handset also gets dual batteries, dual USB-C charging ports, and dual speakers.
The battery itself is interesting with the phone featuring twin 2500mAh batteries that support 90W fast charging. Users can charge both the batteries simultaneously from 0 to 100 per cent in just 30 minutes. To reach 50% capacity, all the device is a charging time of 10 minutes!
The Legion Phone Duel gets a 6.65-inch FHD+ display that supports 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling. The camera setup includes a 20MP front-facing (horizontal pop-up) camera, a 64MP rear-facing primary camera and a 16MP secondary ultra-wide camera.
To enhance the gaming experience, the phone also gets ultrasonic buttons to enhance the gameplay. Apart from these hardware features, the phone also gets a bevy of software-based gaming-centric features thanks to its own game acceleration engine (GAE).
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel: Price in India, expected launch date
As of now, there is just a ‘Notify Me’ option on the Lenovo India website for the Legion Phone Duel. The company is yet to announce a launch date for the device. As for the pricing, it helps if we look at how the device is priced in China. In its home market, the Lenovo Legion Duel Gaming phone has a base price of 3499 yuan (~$521) for the 8GB version. The top-end variant that gets 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage is priced at 999 EUR. As of now, it remains unclear which variant of the phone Lenovo plans to bring to India. Chances are high we will see the 8GB variant first since it will be more affordable compared to the top variant.
