Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is gearing up for the launch of its Redmi Note 9 series of smartphones in China on November 26, 2020. So far, we have received plenty of leaks, rumors, and even official teasers by the company about the upcoming Redmi Note 9 lineup – there will allegedly be three variants in the series – the Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi Note 9 5G, and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Amongst these, the 5G variant of the Redmi Note 9 smartphone has today been spotted on the Geekbench database website, which gives us a working clue as to what some of its specifications and features will be. Take a look at the Geekbench listing of the alleged Redmi Note 9 5G and find out what it has in store for us.
Redmi Note 9 5G visits Geekbench ahead of launch
As seen in the Geekbench database image, the alleged Redmi Note 9 5G (with the model number Xiaomi M2007J22C) has managed to pull off 598 in the single-core test and 1,793 in the multi-core test. Furthermore, the Geekbench listing suggests that the Redmi Note 9 5G will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor, which will be paired with 8GB of RAM.
On the software side of things, the Redmi Note 9 5G will boot Android 10-based MIUI 12 out of the box, which has already been leaked in the past as well. Other than what we mentioned, the Geekbench listing of the Redmi Note 9 5G does not tell us anything else about the device. For those unaware, the Redmi Note 9 5G (M2007J22C) could very well launch globally as the Redmi Note 9T (M2007J22G), a moniker which was revealed a little while ago.
