Vivo V20 Pro Confirmed to Officially Launch in India in December; New Leak Claims it Could be on December 2nd

Vivo has confirmed the launch of the Vivo V20 Pro in India. The company took to Twitter to confirm the launch of the third V20 series smartphone. The V20 Pro is the most premium offering in the series after the V20 and V20 SE. Although the company, in its tweet, has not confirmed the date, a tip from XDA Developer member Tushar Mehta suggests that the smartphone will launch in India on December 2. The pricing details of the smartphone were also tipped yesterday. Based on the leaked pricing, the device will compete against the likes of OnePlus Nord, Google Pixel 4a, Realme X3 SuperZoom, Samsung Galaxy A71, among others. Vivo confirms the launch of V20 Pro in India

Vivo India, in its tweet, has only confirmed the launch of the V20 Pro with the hashtag “Coming soon”. The tweet does not mention the exact launch date. However, Mehta claims that the Vivo V-series smartphone will launch in India on December 2.

The pricing details of the smartphone were leaked by 91Mobiles ahead of the launch. As per the report, the Vivo V20 Pro 5G price in India is Rs 29,990 (MOP) courtesy of offline sources. The publication further added that the smartphone is up for pre-booking through offline retail stores across the country.

We already know the specifications of Vivo V20 Pro 5G as it has been launched in other markets. The company is expected to launch the device with the exact specs here in India.

Vivo V20 Pro specifications

Vivo V20 Pro features a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a pixel density of 408 PPI, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 3000000: 1 contrast ratio. The display has a wide notch for the dual-front camera setup. For selfies, there is a 44MP primary lens with an aperture of f/2.0, coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide camera that has a 105-degree FoV.

At the back, there is a triple-camera setup with a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 main sensor with an aperture of f/1.89. There is also an 8MP ultrawide sensor that has an aperture of f/2.2. The same lens doubles up as a macro camera. Lastly, V20 Pro comes with a 2MP f/2.4 mono lens.

Under the hood, the smartphone draws its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G along with Adreno 650 GPU. The performance unit also includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.

The device also packs a 4,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging technology. It boots on Android 10-based Vivo’s FunTouch OS 10 out of the box.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, dual-SIM, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and a USB Type-C port.
