POCO India launched the POCO M2 in the country a few months back. The smartphone runs Android 10 based MIUI 11 as of now. Now, the company has started rolling out MIUI 12 Stable update for POCO M2 smartphone users in India. This is the fourth POCO device to receive MIUI 12 stable update in India. POCO has already rolled out MIUI 12 Global Stable update for POCO X2, POCO F1, and POCO M2 Pro smartphones in the country. POCO M2 MIUI 12 Global stable update comes as MIUI 12.0.1.0.QJRINXM and weighs around 500MBs in size.

POCO M2 MIUI 12 Stable Changelog
POCO M2 MIUI 12.0.1.0 update also brings December Android security patch to the device along with MIUI 12 features. Officially, the company hasn’t mentioned much in the changelogs, but we already know what are the features that MIUI 12 brings to the devices. Still, let us have a look at official changelogs below,

MIUI 12 brings several new features and changes along with improvements. It brings all-new system animations across the UI, new floating windows for easier multitasking, new control center to name a few. It brings improvements in the security and privacy departments with Hidden Mask Mode, Interceptor, and Flare modes. Apart from these, there is also an all-new dark mode 2.0 on the MIUI 12, that lets you force dark mode on the third-party applications as well.
This seems a public roll-out but it may take sometime before the update appears on your smartphone. In case you haven’t received the update yet, you can download it from here and flash it manually on your device. POCO M2’s Redmi counterpart, Redmi 9 Prime is yet to receive MIUI 12 Global stable update in India. Since the update is out for POCO M2, we can expect the company to roll out MIUI 12 for Redmi 9 Prime soon.
In other POCO related news, there were speculations that POCO India might launch POCO M3, the successor to POCO M2, in India on 13th January, but POCO India Country Director, Mr. Anuj Sharma has cleared the air and said that the information is not accurate.
