Although Multi-device support for WhatsApp has begun rolling out for standard users, the feature is still under beta testing. This means you might see performance issues or bugs while using the WhatsApp feature. 

If you want to disable multi-device support, retrace the above steps and select Leave beta under the Multi-device beta signup settings. 

According to WhatsApp, some of the messenger features aren’t supported in the WhatsApp multi-device for web or Desktop. For instance, you cannot view the live location of the linked devices. Pinning chats, joining and viewing group invites is unavailable on WhatsApp Web or Desktop.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 Activ was launched a day before Realme Narzo 50A. The smartphone is identical to last year’s Redmi 9, except for the new 6GB variant. POCO M3, on the other hand, has been ruling on the lower budget segment since its launch earlier this year. The smartphone’s price was recently hiked due to the high demand. Interestingly, all three smartphones sport the same 6.5-inch IPS LCD display. The difference is that the POCO M3 features a Full HD+ screen offering a resolution of 2340×1080. Meanwhile, the Narzo 50A and Redmi 9 Activ, both have an HD+ screen with a resolution of 720×1600.

Narzo 50A might have an upper hand in screen brightness. The company claims the peak brightness of 570 nits, which is slightly better than the 400 nits maximum brightness present in the POCO M3 and the Redmi 9 Activ.

Note: The below performance comparisons are not based on actual usage but on the stand-alone performance of the chipsets. 

When it comes to performance, all three budget smartphones come with low-end processors. However, handling casual day-to-day tasks won’t be a problem for all of them.

The Narzo 50A and Redmi 9 Activ, both are powered by a MediaTek Helio chip. The former carries the Helio G85 while the latter comes with a Helio G35. Meanwhile, the POCO M3 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 662. 

If we have to compare, the Helio G85 does come quite close to the Snapdragon 662 based on its performance in other smartphones. Meanwhile, the G35 in the Redmi phone is an older chipset, so it lacks behind the other two. If we factor in the memory options, the POCO M3 will likely come at the top due to its 6GB RAM variant and the fact that Narzo 50A only offers 4GB RAM.

Camera is one of the most important components of a smartphone, a big factor to consider when comparing smartphones. 

Let’s start with the Narzo 50A – the device comes with a triple camera setup on the back headlined by the 50MP camera with f/1.8 aperture and 10x zoom. The other two include a 2MP macro lens and a portrait lens.

The POCO M3 also houses a triple-cam with a 48MP f/1.8 lens with two 2MP macro and portrait lenses. Lastly, the Redmi Activ 9 has a dual camera with a 13MP f/2.2 primary lens and a 2MP depth sensor. 

Clearly, Redmi Activ 9 is not a good choice if you want a camera phone. Other than lacking a macro lens, its primary lens also has a small aperture. 

As for the other two, it’s difficult to tell their camera’s difference from the surface. We would suggest waiting for in-depth camera comparisons between the two phones.

The device has been spotted on the NCC certification website, revealing its design and other details. The images attached reveal that the phone has a hole-punch display. The screen size of the device remains unknown at the moment. On the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup. It will have a 50MP primary camera sensor that will shoot 12.5MP resolution images with pixel-binning. Details of the other two sensors remain unknown at the moment. We can expect the device to come with two 2MP sensors, which are likely going to be for depth and macro.

eFootball Released Today: Konami’s Free-to-Play Football Game Is Now The Worst-Rated Game on Steam

When Konami announced their plans to release a free-to-play football title, eFootball, as a successor to PES, many were hedging their bets on it to be good. One of the biggest contributing factors to fans rallying behind eFootball was the hope that the free-to-play game and hopefully its success might inspire a change of direction from EA towards the free-to-play model as opposed to the full-price annual release.

Yet, from the looks of it, eFootball hasn’t gotten off to a great start as the game was released today, and PC users on Steam didn’t quite enjoy what they had in front of them. As it currently stands, eFootball has over 10,000 reviews, of which only 8% of them are positive – meaning it is now the worst-rated title on Steam.

Players’ issue with the game stem not from just the categorically dated player models or the seemingly PS2-era aesthetics of it all, but also from its gameplay, which needs a lot of work. Many reviews point out eFootball’s seemingly janky gameplay and controls, with many bindings on controllers often being rather confusing and counter-intuitive.

Yet, all hope is not lost for Konami’s free-to-play experiment, as it being a live service game, there is hope for improvement with post-launch updates, patches, DLC, and a lot more. But in its current state, it looks like EA and FIFA can comfortably maintain their positions at the top of the football sim genre.

While players were aware that certain concessions would need to be made due to the game’s free-to-play nature, perhaps a scale-back of this magnitude came as a surprise. Konami does have a roadmap of post-launch content for eFootball, so here’s hoping that they can turn things around in the months to come.

The base variant with 64GB storage is available for Rs 65,900, whereas the 128GB and 256GB models can be bought for Rs 70,900 and Rs 80,900. The 2020 iPhone comes in Black, Blue, Purple, Green White and Product Red colours.

The 12 mini, on the other hand, starts at Rs 59,900 in India. The 128GB and 256GB models are priced at Rs 64,900 and Rs 74,900, respectively. It also comes in all the six colour options available on the vanilla model.

iPad Air 2022 With OLED Displays Reportedly Cancelled, Will Launch Next in 2024

Apple launched the iPad Air in 2020 with an all-new design. The latest Air iPad came with thinner bezels that resulted in a slightly larger screen. It also comes with Apple’s A14 Bionic chip that is still among the best-in-class processors. The iPad Air was rumoured to get a refresh sometime next year. Apple, obviously, did not confirm anything related to the iPad Air 2022 launch. However, the rumour mill claimed that the iPad Air will get an upgrade next year. One of the major upgrades was said to be around the display. However, it looks like Apple will not launch the iPad Air 2022 at all.

A report from MacRumors, citing The Elec, states that Apple has called off its project with Samsung for the OLED display that was reportedly going to be used in next year’s iPad Air. It states that Apple cancelled the project either due to the single stack structure of OLED panels or profitability issues.

Apple is reportedly not satisfied with the brightness levels of the single stack OLED panels. For the uninitiated, a single stack structure in OLED refers to the red, blue and green colours forming one emission layer. Apple is also said to be concerned about the panel’s lifespan. The company wants to use a two-stack structure that stacks two layers of the red, blue and green colours and also offers up to four times the lifespan. Samsung, on the other hand, currently manufacturers only a single stack structure.

The report further states that Apple might launch the OLED iPad Air in 2022. A separate report from iMore, citing DSCC’s Ross Young, states that the OLED iPad Air will launch in 2024. It is worth noting that Young has maintained a fairly accurate record with Apple leaks. He states that Apple will partner with LG Displays for the OLED iPad Air, which is expected to hit production in 2023. However, Apple will launch the OLED iPad only in 2024, according to Young.

Samsung, earlier this year, was rumoured to launch the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition in October. The device’s design renders and key specifications have leaked in the past. Samsung, too, accidentally confirmed the S21 FE’s existence via its now-deleted Instagram post. As we inch closer to the rumoured October launch timeline, new reports of Samsung cancelling the S21 FE launch have surfaced online. Yes, not postponed but cancelled. The latest development from Samsung suggests that the Galaxy S21 FE launch has indeed been cancelled. Apparently, Samsung has deleted the support pages of the Galaxy S21 FE from its official website.

A report from SamMobile states that Samsung has deleted the S21 FE’s support pages from its Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, Levant. A quick look at the URL shows the device’s model number (SM-G990B). Visiting any of the S21 FE’s support page links will show the message “Sorry this link is now unavailable.”

The development comes a couple of days after a report claiming that the launch has been cancelled due to the ongoing chip shortage. The Galaxy S21 FE was rumoured to feature a Snapdragon 888 SoC, which is also found on the likes of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3. Samsung reportedly decided to prioritise its foldable phones instead, which are apparently selling like hotcakes. The demand is such that Samsung is said to be struggling with the supply of its new foldable phones.

There is no official announcement from Samsung regarding the Galaxy S21 FE’s launch at the moment. However, the support pages going down is a hint of the launch not happening at all. 

If it ever launches, the Galaxy S21 FE could feature a 12MP triple-camera setup on the back with the camera module’s design similar to the S21 series. It is also said to sport a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. To check all the leaked specs, click here.
