Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra May Finally Get Faster 45W Charging With a 5000mAh Battery

Samsung is prepping for the launch of the Galaxy S22 series. The brand’s top-of-the-line series is expected to launch in February 2022. In the last few weeks, we already had seen renders of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra courtesy of several leaks. The Galaxy S22 series handsets were also spotted at 3C certification a few days back. The 3C certification had revealed that all three smartphones will come with 25W fast charging support. However, the recent leak by the tipster Ice Universe suggests that the top-end model, i.e the Galaxy S22 Ultra will offer 45W fast charging support. We can expect Samsung to sell the 45W fast charger separately, instead of bundling it right into the box.

As per the Ice Universe, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will ship with a 5000mAh battery. The leak also reveals that the device will charge from 0% to 70% in 35 minutes. As far as the earlier leaked specifications of the handset go, it is expected to sport a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED display. The display panel is expected to offer up to 1800 nits of brightness and a higher refresh rate. As per the leaked renders, the device is supposed to include a punch-hole at the center of the display, which will house the selfie camera. On the software front, we can expect the device to boot Android 12 out of the box with One UI 4 on top.

Coming to the optics department, the handset is tipped to sport a quad-camera setup. The rear-facing camera module is supposed to include a 108MP primary main camera. The smartphone might measure around 163.2 x 77.9 x 8.9mm in terms of dimensions. The past report suggests us that the Galaxy S22 lineup in India will come with Snapdragon 898 SoC, instead of Exynos 2200 chipset. We can expect the S22 Ultra pack 8GB/12GB RAM along with 256GB/512GB of internal storage. The device is expected to launch in White, Black and Dark Red colour options.
