This Friday sees Amazon Prime making K.G.F Chapter 2 being made free to watch for all Prime members, like we reported. Besides these other new shows or new seasons of shows and new films are also being released on OTT platforms. The biggest releases for this weekend include Jana Gana Mana, Call Me By Your Name, The Boys Season 3, 9 Hours and Aashram Season 3. Here’s all you need to know about them.

Jana Gana Mana (Netflix – June 2)
One of the most awaited OTT releases this week, Dijo Jose Antony’s directorial Jana Gana Mana stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead. This Malayalam political thriller released back in April 28 and was a success at the box office earning Rs 50 crore.
The film follows the possible murder of a professor named Saba Mariyam and the following investigation by a character named Sajjan and the challenges that accompanied. It also stars Mamta Mohandas, Sri Divya Dhruvan, Shari, Shammi Thilakan and Raja Krishnamoorthy in significant roles.
Call Me By Your Name (Amazon Prime – June 1)
Call Me By Your Name released back in 2017 and was a critical success. Starring Timothée Chalamet, and Armie Hammer in the lead roles, this coming-of-age romantic drama revolves around the relationship between Elio Perlman (Chalamet) and Oliver (Hammer).
This critically acclaimed film premiered at Sundance Film Festival to a standing ovation and is finally officially releasing in India after 5 years.
The Boys Season 3 (Amazon Prime – June 3)
The much awaited third season of gory and hard hitting yet comic series dealing with superheroes, The Boys, is releasing this week. This new season will feature eight episodes and three of those will be released on June 3.
Billy (Karl Urban), Hughie (Jack Quaid) and the gang are back to take on Homelander (Antony Starr) and his group of corrupted superheroes backed by the super rich corporate Vought.
9 Hours (Disney+Hotstar – June 2)
This is a new Telugu Hotstar Special Series that features Taraka Ratna, Ajay, Vinod Kumar, Madhu Shalini and Ravi Varma in the leading roles. The series revolves around a robbery planned by three inmates who have to return to the prison before the next roll call takes place. And as usual, things don’t go as planned.
Aashram Season 3 (MX Player – June 3)
The infamous act of the corrupted ‘God Man’ act of Bobby Deol is back for another season amongst controversy in the real world. Baba Nirala is back to his antics where he takes advantage of his followers to lead the life of a despotic holy man.
