Over the past year smartphone maker, OnePlus’s launch strategy has changed for multiple reasons. While OnePlus usually launches two flagships in the first half of the year under the number series and one in the second half of the year under the R series, this year has been quite different.
The brand first launched the OnePlus 10 Pro and then two Nord series devices 一 Nord CE 2 and Nord CE 2 Lite. On top of this, the company also launched the OnePlus 10R. While all of these happened in India, the company also launched a new Nord N series phone and the Nord 2T in global markets一 all of these in a span of just five months in 2022. Now, a new leak suggests that OnePlus will launch another flagship smartphone in 2022 and it’ll be called the OnePlus 10T 5G. Let’s take a look at the details.
OnePlus 10T 5G Might as Well be the Rumoured OnePlus 10 Ultra
According to a popular tipster on Twitter, Max Jambor, the next flagship from the company will be called OnePlus 10T 5G and in the replies to some of the questions, he also confirmed that this device is also the rumoured vanilla OnePlus 10 and also the OnePlus 10 Ultra, which has been in the news for a while now. Going by his tweets it is safe to say that the OnePlus 10T will be the rumoured OnePlus 10 Ultra and OnePlus 10. This also means that the company won’t be launching a non-Pro flagship phone for the time in its history (under the number series).

If the leak turns out to be true, the OnePlus 10T will be the first T series device after the OnePlus 8T as the OnePlus moved to the R series with the 9 series. Since OnePlus has already confirmed it is working on a phone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, it is safe to assume that the OnePlus 10T will be powered by Qualcomm’s chipset. The leaks of the OnePlus 10 Ultra also point toward the safe chipset. However, an early leak also suggested that the company might launch a flagship phone with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC in some markets.
The OnePlus 10 Ultra was expected to feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It was tipped to feature a 50MP main camera, a 16MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 32MP selfie snapper. Now, we can expect these specs on the upcoming OnePlus 10T 5G along with 150W fast charging capabilities. Like it has always been in the past, the OnePlus 10T could be limited to certain markets like India, but there is no confirmation on the same yet.
