Amazfit has launched its new premium smartphones for 2022. The company has launched the Amazfit GTR 4 and the GTS 4 in the US. The two new smartwatches are confirmed to arrive later this month in India. They will launch as a successor to the Amazfit GTR 3 and the GTS 3.
The new GTR and GTS smartwatches come with an identical design with some minor tweaks. Amazfit has introduced some new features in the GTR 4 and the GTS 4. The GTR 4 packs a bigger battery and also comes with a circular dial. Let’s take a look at the Amazfit GTR 4, Amazfit GTS 4 specifications, price and other details.
Amazfit GTR 4, GTS 4 Price and Specifications
The new Amazfit GTR 4 has been launched in the US for $200 (roughly Rs 15,900). The GTS 4 also gets the same price tag but comes in different colour options. Amazfit has launched the GTS 4 in Infinite Black, Autumn Brown, Rosebud Pink, and Misty White colours. The GTR 4 comes in Superseed Black, Vintage Brown Leather, and Racetrack Gray.
The smartwatches are confirmed to launch in India in mid-September. Amazfit is expected to announce the official launch date in the coming days.
In terms of specifications, the GTR 4 sports an aluminium circular dial with a 1.43-inch always-on AMOLED display. The screen with a 466×466-pixel resolution has an anti-fingerprint coating and tempered glass on top.
The GTS 4, on the other hand, has a larger 1.75-inch always-on AMOLED display with a 390×450-pixel resolution. The squarish display also has a layer of anti-fingerprint coating.
Both smartwatches come with multiple health and fitness-related features. These include heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, stress monitoring, blood oxygen level measurement, menstrual cycle tracking, etc. Amazfit has also added support for Bluetooth phone calling on both models.
The watches also offer support for over 150 workout modes. Eight of these come with support for automatic workout detection. The new Amazfit watches also come with Fall Detection, a feature which has been available on Apple Watch models for years. The GTS 4 supports over 150 watch faces, whereas the GTR 4 has support for about 200 watch faces.
As mentioned above, the GTR 4 packs a bigger battery. It comes with a 475 mAh battery and is claimed to offer up to 14 days of battery life on a single charge. The GTS 4 packs a 300 mAh battery with a claimed life of up to eight days on a single charge. Both models take about two hours to charge completely.
The watches support Bluetooth 5.0, BLE and WiFi 2.4GHz. They support smartphones running Android 7.0 and above, or iOS 12.0 and above. Users can connect their Amazfit smartwatches to the Zepp app to get details about their workout stats or customise the watch faces.
