Brahmastra Part 1 – Shiva
Ranbir Kapoor essays the titular role in this epic, one of the most anticipated movies by Ayan Mukerji. The story centres around Shiva, an orphan who possesses pyrokinetic powers. Realisation dawns on Shiva that he is an astra. He has a singular mission – to stop the strongest of the astras, the Brahmastra, from falling into the wrong hands. The movie has been produced by Karan Johar, Namit Malhotra, Ayan Mukerji and Apoorva Mehta, under the Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures and Prime Focus together with Star Studios. Working a night shift at the Unicorn factory, Dev Prakash tells his friend Gaurav that the former has proposed marriage to Shalu, who has accepted. Soon the company’s robot attacks and kills Dev. What transpires after forms the plot of this movie.

This 2022 Hindi crime thriller is the directorial venture of R Balki who has also written the film. Production duties have been undertaken by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Gauri Shinde, Jayantilal Gupta and Anil Naidu, under Hope Productions. The story takes place in Mumbai, where we are introduced to a serial killer that targets film critics responsible for dishonest film reviews. IG Arvind Mathur is on a mission to catch the killer. In fact the film opens with a murder, when film critic Nitin Srivastav is found dead at his residence. His body has been mutilated by a surgical knife and a symbol has been etched on his forehead.

Vikram Vedha
This movie has been directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, who has also penned the script. Production has been a joint venture between Jio Studios with Reliance Entertainment, T Series Films, YNOT studios, Theme Studios and Friday Fireworks. The story revolves around Vikram, and his partner Simon who are after Vedha. Finally, when Vedha does decide to give in and surrenders, he offers to tell Vikram a tale instead of going to jail. He tells him 3 stories, which changes the perception of good and evil for the policeman. As he hears Vedha’s story, Vikram’s life gets turned upside down.
