POCO recently unveiled the X5 series consisting of POCO X5 5G and POCO X5 Pro 5G. The company is expected to launch one more smartphone under the X5 series – the POCO X5 GT. As per a report, the POCO X5 GT will have model number 23049PCD8. We have now spotted the POCO X5 GT Indian variant with the model number 23049PCD8I on the Bureau of Indian Standard certification database.
The appearance of the POCO X5 GT on BIS does hint toward an imminent launch. Let us take a closer look at what we know about the POCO X5 GT so far.
As mentioned above, the POCO X5 GT with model number 23049PCD8I has acquired BIS certification. The listing does not reveal anything about the upcoming X-series smartphone. Also, the POCO X5 GT will be the first X GT series smartphone in India. The company launched the POCO X3 GT and POCO X4 GT under the X GT series globally but those didn’t make it to the Indian market. It seems like POCO is unifying its portfolio in markets outside China.

The upcoming POCO X5 GT was earlier spotted on the IMEI database. The IMEI database listing suggested that it could be the rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo which is expected to be unveiled soon in China. To those unaware, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 processor. The upcoming Redmi smartphone has already been spotted on 3C certification with 67W fast charging support.
