Google I/O 2023 has officially kicked off. At the annual developer event, Google has announced multiple new hardware products. There is the Pixel 7a, which is the new affordable A-series Pixel. Google also launched the Pixel Fold as its first foldable smartphone. Google has now introduced the Pixel Tablet at I/O 2023. The new Google tablet was previewed last year, and finally after a year of development, it is finally available for pre-order in select markets.
The Google Pixel Tablet offers a tall display. It also comes with the Tensor G2 SoC, which is found in the current line of Google smartphones as well, such as the Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold and the Pixel 7 series. Google Pixel Tablet: Price and Specifications
The Google Pixel Tablet has been launched at I/O 2023 in two storage options. The base model of the Pixel tab packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is priced at $499 (roughly Rs 40,900). There is also an 8GB + 256GB variant of the Pixel Tablet. It is available in three colour options, including, Porcelain and Hazel.
In terms of specs, the Pixel tablet has an 11-inch IPS LCD panel with slightly thick bezels around it. The front camera is located on the longer top bezel when placed in landscape mode. The screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a pixel density of 276PPI. It also offers 500 nits of peak brightness.
The Google tablet has quad speakers and three microphones. It also offers support for a Pixel speaker dock, which doubles up as a stand and also a charging port which keeps the tablet charged all the time. Speaking of charging, the Pixel tablet features a USB Type-C port for charging at 18W when not connected to the dock. It packs a 27-watt-hour battery, which will last for about 12 hours on a single charge.
There is a Tensor G2 SoC with Google’s Titan M2 chip. The tablet packs LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. There is an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an 84-degree field of view. The rear camera has an 8MP f/2.0 camera sensor.
The Pixel tablet supports Wi-Fi 6, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz), support for Bluetooth 5.2, ultra-wideband radio chip, etc. Lastly, the tablet runs Android 13 out of the box. Google claims that the Pixel tab has been optimised for over 50 Google apps. The tablet also supports multiple user profiles, Chromecast for casting music, shows, etc.,
