Redmi 12 Launch Seems Imminent
The Redmi 12 will be a new budget smartphone launching in various markets very soon. It has cleared multiple certifications, hinting at an imminent launch. The device has the model number 23053RN02A. It has been spotted on the NBTC website, which confirms the model number and the official moniker. The same device was also spotted on the BIS, IMDA and EEC certification websites, which also revealed the model number of the phone.
Unfortunately, these listings do not reveal any specifications of the upcoming Redmi smartphone. The Redmi 12 was previously spotted on the FCC and IMEI certification websites. It revealed that the 4G smartphone runs MIUI 14 out of the box, which should be based on Android 13. The device was also spotted being tested with a charger that has the model number MDY-12-EA. Based on the details, it is safe to say that the device supports 33W fast charging.
While the listing did not reveal the battery capacity, we can expect Xiaomi to at least pack a 5000mAh battery in the device.
