Motorola has teased the launch of the Razr foldable phone in China. The company has confirmed that it will launch the next Razr foldable phone on June 1. Motorola has officially not confirmed the names yet but the rumour mill claims that the company will launch two foldable phones. These will be called the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra. We have already revealed the design and features of the Motorola Razr 40 in our exclusive report. Now, a new report has revealed some details about the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.
A new leak by tipster Evan Blass, aka EvLeaks has revealed more design images of the Razr 40 Ultra. The premium foldable phone from Motorola is said to launch in the US with a different name. EvLeaks claims that the device will launch in the US as the Moto Razr+. Let’s take a look at the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra specifications, features and other details known so far.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra: Another Day, Another Leak
New details about the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, aka the Razr+ for the US, continue to flood the web. New design images of the foldable phone have leaked online. Tipster Blass’ leak reveals more design images of the foldable phone. These images and videos focus on the big outer display and its use case. Apart from using the cover display as a viewfinder for clicking selfies using the rear camera, users can use it to play games, type messages, navigation and even watch videos.
Recently, design images of the Razr 40 Ultra were uploaded online. The images confirmed that the phone will launch in three colours — Barberry, Black and Blue. One of the videos uploaded by Blass shows that the phone has dual-tone shades, including one with a mix of red and blue.
Motorola is expected to drop more details about the foldable phone soon. The device is set to launch in various markets in less than two weeks. Meanwhile, let’s take a look at the specifications and features of the Razr 40 Ultra known so far.
The device is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. There will be a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. There are varying reports about the refresh rate support. These suggest that the device will offer a 120Hz/ 144Hz or even a 165Hz refresh rate.
On the outside, the Razr 40 Ultra is said to have a cover display ranging between 3.4-3.6 inches. It will offer support for a 60Hz refresh rate. The outer display has cutouts for the dual-camera setup. It is tipped to feature a 32MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The device is also tipped to feature a 12MP primary camera.
Under the hood, the Razr 40 Ultra is tipped to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It might launch with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device is likely to launch with a 3500mAh battery and offers 33W fast charging support. It will boot Android 13-based MyUX 5 out of the box.
The Razr 40 is likely to launch in the US for around $1,000 (roughly Rs 82,400). There is no word on the foldable phone’s India availability.
