Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Gets MIUI 10 Stable 10.0.6.0 Update that Improves Fingerprint Recognition, More

Xiaomi has released MIUI 10 stable 10.0.6.0 update for its affordable flagship Pocophone F1 aka POCO F1. The recovery update optimizes the fingerprint recognition feature along with other substantial changes to the lock screen. The smartphone has received timely updates and it happens to be the first handset from the company to get its own app launcher, which is available for download on the Google Play Store.

Xiaomi has provided the Pocophone F1 with even more customized MIUI and the latest stable update addresses all the issues that the users have been reporting on the forums.

As per the changelog, the update optimizes the fingerprint recognition feature to make it more stable. The home screen gets a layout grind and after the update, users will be able to change the icon sizes on the screen. The changelog further mentions improvements to the notification bar, status bar and lock screen. The notifications will be immediately visible on the status bar now. Incidentally, this issue has troubled a lot of users since the launch. The update also fixes the battery percentage issue of the device in charging mode. It also addresses the bugs that conceal the music widget on the lock screen and the battery status of bluetooth headphones on the status bar.

Pocophone F1 to Receive Stable Android 9 Pie Update Soon?

Xiaomi earlier announced to launch Android 9 Pie open beta update sometime in December. However, the company recently rolled out the MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.11.15 based on the latest software for Pocophone F1. The update comes with bug fixes and other improvements. Usually, Xiaomi gets a little laid back while rolling out updates for its devices. However, the Chinese smartphone maker has not disappointed with the flagship device. Pocophone F1 has recieved regular updates and the company even adjusted a Android 9 Pie beta update in its timeline before the set date. The early adopters have confirmed the build is quite stable, so we are expecting the smartphone will get the stable Android 9 Pie update by the end of the year.

Pocophone F1 is currently the most affordable flagship in the smartphone market. The handset is armed with a Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clocked at 2.8 GHz. The smartphone features 6.18-inch display with 1080 x 2246 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. In the imaging department, it gets a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup at the rear and a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling requirements. Keeping the device up and running is a large 4000mAh capacity battery, that comes with Quick Charge 4.0 support. In the memory department, the smartphone offers up to 8GB and 128GB onboard storage. You can expand the memory further by up to 256GB using a microSD card.

The smartphone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. On the connectivity front, the options that tag along with the Pocophone F1 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support,GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio port. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 155.5 x 75.3 x 8.8 mm and weighs in at 180 grams.
