Motorola, which has launched several 5G capable handsets in the recent past, seems to be in no mood to slow down. The newest 5G capable smartphone from the Chinese-American brand is called the Motorola One 5G. While the Motorola One 5G is the first Moto One device to support 5G – taking a closer look at the device seems to indicate that what you are, in fact, looking at is a rebranded Moto G 5G Plus, which was only released last month in several international markets.

Motorola One 5G specifications, key features
The Motorola One 5G comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC, which gets the 5G capable Snapdragon X52 modem. There is 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with the option to add a microSD card for memory expansion. The US variant comes in a single SIM option.
The display used on the Motorola One 5G is an LTPS LCD panel that measures 6.7-inches across and has a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels in the 21:9 aspect ratio. The CinemaVision display also supports HDR10 content and boasts of 90Hz refresh rate. The Motorola one 5G gets a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W TurboCharging. With 5G, expect lower battery life on this device.
The Motorola One also gets a water repellent design and is quite a hefty phone at 209g. It is available in a single oxford Blue color option.
Motorola One camera specifications
The Motorola One features a quad-camera setup at the rear consisting of the following sensor/lens combo
- 48MP primary with f/1.8 lens
- 5MP with f/2.2 macro lens
- 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens
- 2MP f/2.2 depth sensor
At the front, the phone gets a single 16Mp sensor that uses an ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. Video recording is supported in the following formats.
- Rear main camera: UHD (30fps) | FHD (60/30fps) | HD (30fps)
- Rear ultra-wide angle camera: FHD (30fps) | HD (30fps)
- Rear macro camera: FHD (30fps) | HD (30fps)
There is no word if this phone will make it to India. Even if it does, it will almost certainly not come with the same set of features. Motorola is yet to announce the pricing and availability details of the phone for the US. Going by the specs, the phone is likely to be priced around below the $500 mark.
