OnePlus 8T Leaked Render Shows Flat Screen And 8K Video Recording Support

OnePlus has so far launched three new smartphones this year, OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and the OnePlus Nord. Alongside this, the company has also introduced its latest truly wireless earbuds called the OnePlus Buds. It seems that the company is not ready to stop launching products any time soon.

Going by the recent leaks, the company is planning to launch two new mid-range smartphones codenamed “Clover” and “Billie.” According to a report from XDADevelopers, the alleged OnePlus 8T is spotted on a teardown of the OxygenOS 11 Beta 4 release by OxygenUpdater. The report suggests that the smartphone is codenamed “kebab.”

As per the report, XDA Member performed a teardown of the latest OxygenOS 11 Beta 4 where he found some interesting information about the upcoming OnePlus 8T.  The report suggests that the company is working on the camera application to bring 8K resolution video recording support to the smartphone. So far this feature isn’t available on any of the OnePlus smartphones.

A file called “oneplus_8t.webp” is reportedly found in the latest OnePlus Setting app, it carries an image file that appears in the About Phone page in OxygenOS. However, it’s still unclear whether the render belongs to OnePlus 8T or not.

The image render shows that the upcoming flagship smartphone will sport a flat display, along with a single punch-hole cutout placed at the top left corner of the phone. Besides, the render also suggests that the phone features the volume rockers on the left frame, Alert Slider, and the power button on the right side of the smartphone. OnePlus typically launches its T-series smartphones around October or November, so we can expect some more information about the OnePlus 8T as we move closer to the launch.
