Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G Confirmed to Feature 200MP Camera

Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 12 series in the Chinese market. As per the official announcement, the Redmi Note 12 series will debut on October 27 in China. The Redmi Note 12 series is expected to consist of three devices – the Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Ahead of the launch, the brand has now confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will come equipped with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPX sensor.

Also, in another development, the Redmi Note 12 Indian variant has made an appearance on the Bureau of Indian Standards database. Let us take a closer look at the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ camera details and what we know about the Note 12 series so far.

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ Camera Details Reveals Ahead of Launch

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will feature a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPX sensor with 1/1.4-inch sensor size and 2.24μm. The Samsung HPX was announced just a couple of days ago. The brand says that the Samsung ISOCELL HPX is about 24% bigger than the Sony IMX766. Apart from this, the brand hasn’t revealed anything about the device. However, the teaser confirms that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will resemble Note 12 Pro in terms of design and will feature a triple rear camera setup.

Talking about the design, the Redmi Note 12 series camera module design appears to be similar to the Redmi Note 11T series which was introduced a few months ago in China. To those unaware, the Redmi Note 11T Pro made its debut as the Redmi K50i in the Indian market.

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be using the Sony IMX766 sensor on the Redmi Note 12 Pro. The Redmi Note 12 Pro will also be the first smartphone to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor. The Redmi Note 12 Pro will feature 120W fast charging support. Whereas, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will offer 210W charging as per the 3C certification database listing

Redmi Note 12 Spotted on IMEI Database and BIS Certification

Ahead of the Redmi Note 12 series launch in China, the Redmi Note 12 has made an appearance on the IMEI Database and BIS Certification websites. The device was spotted on the IMEI Database with model number 22101316G (G represents the global variant).

So yes, the Redmi Note 12 series India launch is imminent. Have spotted the vanilla Redmi Note 12 on the Indian BIS certification website. Interestingly, it has been listed under the Xiaomi branding.

Alongside, the Redmi Note 12 Indian variant has also been spotted on the BIS Certification. Popular tipster Mukul Sharma spotted the Redmi Note 12 with model number 22101316I (I represents the Indian variant) on the Bureau of Indian Standards database.

However, it’s not clear if Note 12 spotted on IMEI Database and BIS Certification website is the same as the Note 12 Chinese variant. To those unaware, Redmi had launched the Redmi Note 11 Chinese variant as the Redmi Note 11T 5G in India and Redmi Note 11S 5G in the global markets. Since the handset has been spotted on multiple certification websites, we can expect it to make a global debut soon.
