Tecno is working on the launch of its first foldable smartphone. The company will launch the Tecno Phantom V Fold as its new premium foldable smartphone later this month. The company has not confirmed the launch date officially. However, new details about the upcoming Tecno Phantom foldable smartphone have leaked online. MySmartPrice was the first to reveal the live images of the upcoming foldable smartphone from Tecno.
Now, a new leak has revealed the live video of the phone, showcasing its design from all sides. The leaked video reveals the foldable display of the phone as well. Let’s take a look at the Tecno Phantom V Fold design, features and other details revealed ahead of its launch.
Tecno Phantom V Fold Live Video
The Tecno Phantom V Fold has a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4-like folding mechanism. The foldable phone is expected to launch later this month. As per the leaked video shared by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the phone has a cream colour variant. The rear panel has a huge circular camera module at the centre, which houses the triple-camera setup and an LED flash.
The leaked video also reveals that the foldable display will have a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the right side. On the outside, there is a tall cover display with a hole-punch cutout. Unfortunately, the display size is unknown.
The crease is visible from the sides, which remains to be a characteristic of foldable phone displays. The likes of OPPO and Samsung have managed to make the crease less visible in the folding phones.

The frame of the Tecno foldable phone is also flat. The left side is completely flush. The right edge has the volume buttons and the power button. The latter doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. At the top edge, we can see some cutouts, which can be for the secondary speaker. The bottom edge is likely to house the primary speaker and the USB Type-C port.
Other details about the Tecno Phantom V-series foldable phone remain unknown. We recently revealed that the phone will launch globally on February 28. It is also likely to debut in India.

With the Phantom V Fold, the company will join the elite list of smartphone brands to have launched a foldable smartphone in the commercial market. The only few companies that have so far launched a foldable phone include Samsung, OPPO, Huawei, Motorola and Xiaomi. Apple and OnePlus are rumoured to be working on a foldable phone but the launch timeline is unknown.
